Each year, Americans spend $13 billion dollars per on Valentine’s gifts like chocolate and flowers, yet much of it is sourced from the developing world from farms with unfair labor practices and unsustainable, polluting environmental conditions. So this Valentines Day, we wanted to promote local producers who do things the right way and embrace the practices of fair trade, social business, and sustainability.”
