Digital LA is teaming up with Non Profit Effect for a panel on how social good companies including TOMS, Movember, Drop in the Bucket, J.Brand and City Year LA work with their strategic partners to leverage digital marketing & social media for social good. They’ll discuss tips on how organizations can work together to use these digital marketing & social media tools to find strategic partners, coordinate campaigns, and join forces to help each other reach good goals. Adam Garone, Movember, CEO and Co-founder
The month formally known as November, is when men grow and ladies support a moustache for the 30 days of the month to raise awareness and funds in order to change the face of men’s health. Movember uses social media channels like Facebook and iPhone apps, and its own Mo Spaces to build awareness and grow a global community. Last year the organization raised more than $80M worldwide and to date has raised $174M. Their partners include: Prostate Cancer Foundation, LIVESTRONG, the Lance Armstrong Foundation, TOMS and The Art of Shaving. @AdamGarone @Movember

With every purchase, TOMS will help a person in need. One for One. TOMS’ has a variety of partners including NGOs and charities already established and working in the countries in which TOMS gives. John Travis, Drop In The Bucket (DITB), Co-Founder
DITB is an LA based non-profit that constructs wells and sanitation systems for large rural schools in sub-Saharan Africa. Since forming in 2006, DITB has completed almost 140 projects in Tanzania, Mozambique, South Sudan, Chad, Kenya and Uganda. They leverage their network to spread the word and raise money for their important work through partners like Henry Rollins, Shepard Fairey, Alissa Milano, Sharon Stone and Damiani Jewelers. Philip Javelana, City Year LA, Sr Communications and Brand Manager
An education-focused, nonprofit organization that partners with public schools to provide full-time targeted intervention for students most at risk of dropping out. J Brand, has created three limited edition colors, in its skinny fit, for both women and girls to be sold exclusively on its website, jbrandjeans.com, with 100% of the net proceeds of these jeans donated to City Year Los Angeles. The goal is to sell 1,000 pairs of jeans to help City Year provide critical tutoring and mentoring services to students at risk of dropping out. @philjav @CityYearLA
